Exploring Social Work

The Exploring Social Work microcredential is designed for students interested in a career in social work and looking for an introduction to the field. Participants in this program focus on the theories, values, and missions of social work while differentiating the levels at which social workers intervene (micro, mezzo, macro). This experience encourages individuals to reflect on how social work values align with their personal beliefs and examines the intersection of social work, community, culture, and the quest to become a change agent. By completing this microcredential, learners will develop a deeper understanding of social work theories, intervention levels, and values, all while recognizing how their personal experiences and identities influence their approach to the profession.

Earning Criteria

- Attend the Exploring Social Work event offered by the Social Work In Action pathway program.
