Introduction To Python Programming

The Summer Enrichment Academy (SEA) at UMBC offers middle and high school students a unique, engaging, and intellectually stimulating experience. With a diverse range of one-week workshops and courses, SEA immerses students in the world of science, engineering, technology, the arts, and humanities—all led by UMBC faculty, industry professionals, and graduate students.

SEA's college-style experiences are designed to inspire students to think critically, work collaboratively, and challenge themselves in ways they won’t find anywhere else.

Want to learn about machine learning, data science, web development, web scraping, or gaming? This introductory course will help you get your basics strong in Python programming and equip you with fundamental knowledge. In this hands-on course, you will learn and understand the concepts of Python by doing in-class exercises and mini-projects. We will explore using practical applications, the conditionals, and looping concepts by solving several hurdles of the 'Reeborg's world', the working of functions and much more.
