Modern Languages, Linguistics, and Intercultural Communication Ambassadors
Modern Languages, Linguistics, and Intercultural Communication (MLLI) Ambassadors will support the department through active participation in academic and social activities, providing feedback on programming, and representing MLLI on campus and beyond. Students will attend a range of events, engage with prospective and current students, and contribute to shaping MLLI curricula and outreach.
This opportunity is designed to foster community, cross-cultural understanding, and reflective engagement, and is paired with a 1-credit S/U course (MLL300).
Earning Criteria
- Attend the MLLI Ambassadors kickoff event
- Attend 5â8 MLLI events throughout the semester including:
- At least one event involving feedback on MLLI programming
- At least one outreach/recruitment event
- At least two events outside the studentâs primary area of study
- Bring a guest to one event and reflect on their impressions
- Submit a reflection journal with 100-word entries for each event by the end of the semester
- Enroll in and pass MLL300 (1 credit, S/U)
