The Microcredential Review Board (MRB) is a body established to ensure effective governance and quality control in UMBC’s microcredentialing efforts. Unlike the Microcredential Advisory Committee (MAC), which offers guidance and advice, the MRB is dedicated to the evaluation and approval of microcredential proposals.
The MRB assesses microcredential proposals to determine their value, rigor, and relevance. By applying established criteria and standards, the MRB ensures that each microcredential meets UMBC’s high standards of academic excellence and aligns with external needs.
