Peaceworker: Service, Peace, and Culture

The Peaceworker: Service, Peace, and Culture microcredential recognizes a fellow’s participation in a semester-long practicum focused on understanding and navigating culture in personal, professional, and community contexts. Fellows in the Shriver Peaceworker Fellows Program engage in 20 hours per week of community-based service and weekly cohort-based seminars exploring themes such as cultural humility, cross-cultural engagement, identity, and the transmission and transformation of culture over time. Through reflection, facilitation, and dialogue, fellows deepen their capacity to work across differences and examine how culture both shapes and is shaped by individuals and systems. Fellows explore themes like cultural change, cultural difference, the connection between geography and culture, and more.
